Make a Portable Icon for batch files bat is Impossible!

Make a Portable Icon for batch files bat is Impossible!

Contoh Batch File, Sumber
Well, after searching for a lot, I didnt get any satisfying answers. Haha!

But, there are many information I got from Google. Some of them are:
http://forums.techguy.org/tech-tips-tricks/921404-how-make-portable-shortcuts-flash.html

http://www.softwaretipsandtricks.com/forum/windows-xp/32604-creating-relative-shortcut-flash-drive.html

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/15423/how-to-change-the-icon-of-bat-file-programatically

What I need here is to make a .bat file used in CD. So, I thought it would be beautiful if I could change the icon. I want to create an portable .bat file with the icon embedded. But, unfortunately, .bat file doesnt have any protocol/syntax to store the image icon.

The convensional icon used in windows for the .bat files is implemented by .exe program in windows and .dll file. Both of them are linked by a .lnk file.

Huiiiffhhh..

Introducing a new user consent policy

Introducing a new user consent policy

Today we’re launching a new user consent policy. This policy requires publishers with site visitors from the European Union to ask their permission for using their data.

Why are we doing this?

European Union data protection authorities requested some changes to current practices for obtaining end user consents. It has always been Google’s policy to comply with privacy laws, so we’ve agreed to make certain changes affecting our own products and partners using Google products.

What do you need to do?

If your websites are getting visitors from any of the countries in the European Union, you must comply with the EU user consent policy. We recommend you start working on a policy-compliant user consent mechanism today. There’s guidance from data protection authorities and IABs across Europe on what is required to comply with relevant laws; the IABs IAB Europe Guidance: Five Practical Steps to help companies comply with the E-Privacy Directive is a good place to start.

To learn how to implement a user consent mechanism, check out our help center FAQs and visit Cookie Choices, a website dedicated to complying with this new policy.

Dont Expect a Traditional Microsoft E3 Showing This Year

Microsoft is breaking from the mold of past E3 showings and will try something different this year at the marquee industry event to be held this June in Los Angeles. We already knew that Microsoft was planning to focus more on first-party games this year, but now Xbox boss Phil Spencer has teased even more ways in which the company plans to shake things up when all eyes on on the Xbox company.

Responding to a fans question on Twitter about Microsofts plans for E3 this year, Spencer said Microsoft will have "some interesting changes this year for briefing and the week."

"I like it when we test ourselves to do better each year."

Spencer went on to say that Microsoft will talk about not only Xbox One games, but also titles for PC. "Well have some of both," he explained.

This is hardly surprising, as Microsofts new Windows 10 operating system is due to launch this summer with a renewed focus on gaming. Windows 10 will feature a new and improved built-in Xbox app, cross-platform play support for games like Fable Legends, and even a game-streaming application. And if AMD is right, the new OS will launch at the end of July, not long after E3.

Microsoft has not yet announced when it will hold its E3 press conference. But the likely bet would the Monday morning of E3 week. That would mean sometime on June 15, after Bethesdas the night earlier, and before Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, and Sony later in the day.

Exclude a Mac Address from SCCM DDRs Reuse the same NIC for multiple PXE

Exclude a Mac Address from SCCM DDRs Reuse the same NIC for multiple PXE

Reuse the same NIC for multiple PXE

In order to reuse the same NIC for multiple PXE (such as OSD on sur Surface Pro using a single USB to Ethernet adapter), you have to exclude to MAC address.

Why you have to do that? the answer is simple! if a device is registered with the mac address of the USB to Ethernet adapter, this usb Network can’t be used on additional devices to deploy windows using PXE boot.

To fix this issue you have to exclude the MAC address of usb to Ethernet Adapter by modifying the following registry Key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftSMSComponents SMS_DISCOVERY_DATA_MANAGER

Edit the value of “ExcludeMACAddress” and add the Mac address with the appropriate format (letters in uppercase and the: char after all to digits ex such as 50:2A:C6:FE:AA:9C

How to Do a Driver Rollback Restore Driver That isnt Working to Its Previous Version

How to Do a Driver Rollback Restore Driver That isnt Working to Its Previous Version

We always believe a myth that the new is the better. And it is truly a principle that the new is the improvement of the old, in most cases. However, there is exception. The best example people may want to break this myth is when they encounter problems with their computer after updating a device driver.

Note that even sometimes driver update could bring unexpected accident, it does not mean all driver update is bad and we should reject all driver update. For example, for gamers, updating GPU driver is quite important to get new features, faster speed and better experience.

Tip: In order to revert to your driver, you are always suggested to backup drivers before updating.

Restore Driver to the Old Version

How to Fix Crashed Computer Resulted from a Driver Update?

If you are unlucky to suffer from crashed games, blue screens, dead computer, etc. after upgrading your driver, the easy and efficient fix is to roll back the updated drivers to the old version. To roll back drivers, you have 2 options.

Option 1: Using DriveTheLife to Reinstall Drivers to Whichever Version You Like

DriveTheLife is a free and simple tool that helps resolve driver problems, update outdated drivers, backup, restore and uninstall drivers for Windows hardware devices. After download, install and launch, it will start an automatic scan of the drivers and list the missing/corrupted ones, not backed up ones, normal ones by category.

If you just updated the driver, it may be listed in the normal list. Sometimes, DriveTheLife will also identify the updated driver that ruined your computer and prompt you to fix it. If it cant identify the driver, it is not disputable since it identifies it as the latest ones.

If the driver is in the normal list, locate it and pull the dropdown menu of version where will show all the versions including the latest and the old. Choose the version you want and click reinstall.

Blogumus Feel the Roll a!!

Blogumus Feel the Roll a!!

Blogumus is a kind of web plugin made for blogger (adopting wp-cumulus). As you can see on my sidebar, blogusmus provide an artistic way in managing our blog’s tags, links, categories, etc. When we hover the mouse through it, the menu listed will roll up, down, right, or left, then stop depend on the mouse’s arrow. Originally, blogumus is converted from wordpress to blogger by Amanda Fazani. This is a little explanation about blogumus taken from her blog:

"Blogumus" is an Flash based tag cloud widget which uses scripts converted from Roy Tancks WP Cumulus plugin for Wordpress. I fell in love with Roys original Cumulus plugin when I saw it, and simply had to learn how to convert this for use in Blogger powered blogs."

Actually, although there are so many explanations, information, and also copy-pasted postings about blogumus/wp-cumulus, there still no explanation that describe by detail the way Roy Tanck made wp-cumulus. I do really want to know how to combine a flash-based animation with sophisticated script that links the rolling text with the related URL. What an original!!

As we know, blogumus makes our blog more artistic, fresh designed, and also dynamic-looked. However, it doesn’t provide an ‘open link in new tab’ service. So, if we want to use blogumus/wpcumulus, the consequence is that we will busy in ‘back-forward’-ing the window.

How to Install? This is an example script made by Amanda Fazani to install blogumus in our blog (blogger):

First, search (CTRL + F) this script on ‘layout > edit HTML’ section on your blog:

<b:section class=sidebar id=sidebar preferred=yes>

Then preview the template!
Based on amanda’s blog, there still a problem with her blogumus; i.e. the links doesn’t work. Actually Amanda had updated the script (the above script is the newest one). However, if you still face any problem about blogcumulus, you can tell me by directly comment this post, or visit Amanda’s blog for detail and accurate explanation.
